Making Progress: United Formula Ford Castle Combe Rounds 9-10
And New Video Series!

Castle Combe, UK – We leave Castle Combe Circuit just as we wanted to, closing back in on the championship lead. This race weekend, or weekday as I should call it, had a strange schedule due to the fact that the race took place on the August bank holiday which put a three day gap between testing and the race day. This gap proved to be an additional challenge as I was the only driver never to have been around the circuit before, however, even after a shunt on Thursday we were still able to find the pace come the end of the weekend.

Race 1 saw us finish P5 from 7th after some early lap passing, and I finished P2 in Race 2 after last lap battling and a track limits penalty for a car ahead.

Rounding out the weekend in style, draped in my colors! Myself on the left, Welshman Tom Nippers in the middle, and Englishman Charlie Mann on the right.

I was frustrated with myself as I was not as competitive as I felt I should have been, but I was quickly reminded by Cliff and Phill, that Castle Combe was not an easy track to learn. Rather, we focused on the fact that I was competitive in the second race, showing that we made genuine progress over the weekend, which is exactly what we are looking for.

“Race Day” Video Series

This weekend I also decided to give everyone a little look deeper into my race weekend. As many of our races aren’t televised, nor am I able to post full race footage, I wanted to still give you all a way to see me during the race weekend.
