Jason and ADM rounded out an unusual race weekend with high hopes heading into the final round. As mentioned in the race preview, the weekend had a strange schedule, with no testing around the circuit they would be racing on. To add to the challenge, Jason was the only driver who had never driven the circuit altogether, with others having tested earlier in the year. That brought about an intense qualifying, where Jason admirably qualified 14th, in the first 8 laps on the track.
Race 1 proved how much progress had been made within the team. After Silverstone, many changes went into effect and proved beneficial, as Jason finished 10th, applying pressure to P9 while catching the pack ahead. With a positive outlook for Race 2, Jason got a good run off the line, but was taken out in the second corner, ending his race early. Unfortunately, an incident in a support race delayed the schedule and consequently postponed Race 3. With not enough time in the day, the decision was made to move Race 3 to the final round at Donington, a track where Jason has far more experience.
“I think in total I had about 25 laps around Brands GP, which is a shame because it jumped to the top of my favorite tracks. Regardless of the weekend though, I’m leaving positive about what’s to come. We’ve been doing a lot behind the scenes, and while it has come late I’m expecting myself to be in top form come Donington” says Jason on the weekend.
As the season approaches the end, we’re looking forward to what we can achieve in the final round. Additionally, keep an eye out for some potential announcements in the near future!
