Jason and the team are heading into the final round of the championship after a challenging but rewarding season. Donington is the second repeat circuit of the calendar, with it being the opening round of the season, it’s fitting to close out the year as well. While Jason and the team agreed it wasn’t their strongest round, there were glimmers of promise, with Jason’s overtaking ability and race pace shining during that weekend. “I’m heading into this weekend with that same ability, and a renewed mindset after spending some time at home. It would be an understatement to say I’m excited for this race” says Jason on the weekend.
As you may recall in the last round, the weekend was shortened by an incident in a support race. The race that GB4 missed at Brands Hatch has carried over to the final round here at Donington Park, meaning Jason will have four races this weekend. “While I’m slightly disappointed I didn’t get to race as much at Brands Hatch, I believe this will work to my advantage in the end. Having qualified slightly out of position, Donington offers many more overtaking opportunities than Brands Hatch” Jason says, assessing the new schedule.
While we are sadly not in the championship fight this year, make sure to mark your calendars for all four races, as this final round will most definitely be one to remember.
