GB4 Round One at Donington Park

The Winter break is over and we are finally racing at Donington Park Circuit! A month ago I got back on my feet and began preseason testing, first at Donington Park. While I had driven the track last year in Formula Ford, it was on a slightly different layout, and in the GB4 car the track is a different beast altogether. Each test day has brought myself and the rest of the team a better understanding of the car and our areas of improvement, and as we roll into our first weekend we feel confident that we have found the right formula.

Excitement doesn’t begin to describe the way I am feeling going into this weekend. I have a lot to prove, as I often do coming into new categories, and I’m eager to please myself and the team. From a slower than expected pre-season, I have reworked my physical and mental approach to the new car, updating my fitness regimen and re-evaluating my approach to my performance. All of these factors in a short period of time is an ask, but I trust in my ability to adapt and work under pressure to ensure a competitive weekend, and one of growth.
